eCommunity enables providers to compete to provide broadband services to anyone connected to our network.
Although competition has help lower the cost of broadband-based services, we understand that there will always be a percentage of connected households who can't afford even the most basic broadband service packages.
To ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic condition has sustained access,
we are creating incentives that enable participating providers to offer discount Internet services.
To be featured as a provider who offer's discount or "entry" internet access, participating providers must provide a minimum amount of bandwidth, adhere to certain price standards, provide the service without contract and/or credit check, and waive previous outstanding service debt.
Provider Requirements
Internet Service Providers and/or Community Service Providers must provide discount or no-cost access plans that meet the following:
- Technology: Fiber-to-Home or LTE Wireless connected to eCommunity
- Min. Speeds: 10Mbps down by 1Mbps up
- Data allotment: Minimum 100GB/month via wireless only; throttled speeds acceptable
- Data analysis: Provider will report anonymized subscription data (monthly)
- Term: Month-to-month service, no contract or credit check
Please check back often. We will continue to list providers ready to offer discount access to services in an eCommunity near you.
