In May of 2017, A2D was awarded a contract to build an all-new, 10Gbps Fiber Wide Area Network (WAN) that will provide high-capacity broadband connectivity linking all of the Clinch County schools together. Construction of the school system network started in June and will be up and operational by the end of July 2017.

A2D will include additional fibers to enable us to roll-out our eCommunity Open Access Fiber Network that will ultimately provide enhanced, fiber connectivity to residents, business owners, and other agencies in Clinch County.

Our goal is to deploy the eCommunity network in a multi-phase process:

Phase I - Build-out of the eCommunity Backbone alongside the Clinch School Network along GA Hwy 89 & 38, and Woodlake and Wiregrass Roads.

Phase II - Begin deploying fiber-to-the home, small business, enterprises and anchor institutions along Hwy 89 and connected town/county roads and streets.

Phase III - Begin deploying fiber-to-the home, small business, enterprises and anchor institutions along Hwy 38 and connected town/county roads and streets.

Some phases may be deployed at the same time. We will continue to post notifications of our construction efforts for each phase via this website and on social media via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
